Designer Information

Each Nutrient Separating Baffle Box is custom designed to meet storm drain position-specific hydraulic and geometric requirements. To ensure an efficient flow of information during design, accommodate project scheduling and enhance installation speed, we use the following guidelines:

Design Input: Price & Company requests the Project Designer submit a Design Worksheet via email or fax (616.530.2317).  This easy-to-complete form provides critical information from which Suntree Technologies designs a NSBB unit suitable for the site conditions and performance requirements. Important information to be transmitted includes: NSBB Worksheet

  1. Project information, including Project Designer contact information,
  2. Proposed location of NSBB,
  3. Grade elevation at the NSBB location,
  4. Inlet pipe type, size and invert elevation (multiple pipes may be used),
  5. Outlet pipe type, size and invert elevation (again, multiple pipes may be used),
  6. Peak Treatment Flow: typically taken as a 'pipe full' flow, but may refer to a 'pressurized pipe-full' flow or any other maximum flow rate anticipated or mandated by regulation.
  7. Peak Treatment Flow at 80% TSS Reduction Efficiency: this may not be known or may be a regulated flow rate.

So that Price & Company can be as thorough as possible, we request that a Project Plan Sheet, indicating the proposed NSBB location, be provided as well.  DWG, PDF [emailed or mailed] or fax formats are suitable.

Design Plan & Specification Preparation: From the information provided on the Design WorksheetSuntree Technologies prepares CAD plans and specifications which detail the input information, NSBB system geometry, hydraulic characteristics and contaminant removal capabilities. Price & Company submits these completed documents to the Project Designer, typically within 3-5 working days, for his or her review, comments or direct inclusion into the Project Plans. A sample of a completed Suntree Technologies Plan and Spec may be viewed by clicking here.  While the example is in a letter-sized format, project Plans & Specs will be sent in standard ARCH D format [24" x 36"]. There is no charge for these design services.

Design Approval: Prior to fabrication of a NSBB unit, Price & Company must receive an 'Approved' (signed and dated) Suntree Technologies Plan & Specs.  If electronically 'Approved', please email the completed file to Price & Company. If sent by mail or courier, please provide two (2) 'Approved' copies.  Typically, this process occurs after a project 'award' and is completed via the contractor of record.

Project Scheduling: Typically, a 3 to 6 week lead time is required between order placement and NSBB delivery.
